Urgent help needed * SOLVED *

I've just managed to lock my only key in the boot. I unlocked the boot and put the keys in there whilst unloading. Then slammed it shut without thinking. That's what happens when you finish a night shift!

Can someone PM me a way to get in please before I call out the AA

Thanks

You don't want to hear this, but your car is very secure. I did the same and called the breakdown service. They sent a lock specialist, with various tools including an inflatable bag to bend the top of the door frame open enough to get a rod in to hook the door handle or press the unlock button. It didn't work though because, by default, its deadlocked so the interior handles and button don't work.

In the end, the breakdown guy took my wife about 25 miles home to fetch the spare key.

I suggest you call the AA and see what they can do. If you only have one key, I think you will need to get it. If it's possible to hook the key somehow, it may be possible to do so without breaking a window. If not, prepare to clear up some glass. Current: 2010 Range Rover L322

Can you get a long flat thing, like a very long steel rule, through the door seal and press the lock button?

the RAC can get in but it involved bending the window out slightly Big Cry , and apparently there is a way, however its never been posted on here so no idea I'm afraid.

some say removing the number plate lights and handle button gives access to the lock. it doesn't. I've just taken mine off to see. and theres nothing there just a cavity, which on mine is handily filled with dinitrol!

its a pitfall. that moment you shut the boot and realise the keys are in it and you used the little boot opening button to release it. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
