Personally I prefer Plasma. We went for an LCD but I find the contrast and blacks quite bad compared to our old plasma.

Plasma all the way for me at the moment, will wait for LED to become sensible. Plasma is one signal on, LCD is 3 .... which is why LCD is crap at action films etc. Plasmas do not "burn in " any more, so are ideal. They handle gaming amazingly |

All I know is that LCD's have a backlight that cannot be turned off (unless the TV is off) therefore black is never actually black. Not only this but you get light bleed - if you had black and white lines you would see shads of grey as the white bleeds sideways into the black. This can also happen with colours, which is why a plasma has a higher Colour Saturation and a greater Colour Gamut.

I got a panasonic plasma earlier this year and it's class. With my PS3 and a HDMI cable the pic is class for games and movies. FFRR TD6 HSE
