I don't need to put any in mine between services. Check your coolant in case your oil cooler is cracked and the oil is now in the coolant....common issue.....

Mine has never needed to be topped up between services (about 50,000 miles now). The electronic level display shows whole divisions and may therefore exaggerate the drop compared with a dipstick and I have found it very sensitive to whether the car is level, and also the temperature of the oil, slight variations can make quite a big difference to what is shown on screen. I want my oil level to be in the middle or one notch up, when engine is cold , so when the engine is at operating temperature oil level is going to be at the full or one notch below. when checking oil level of hot engine wait for 15-20 sec. for sensor to stabilise. |
