Just bought me Range Rover at weekend and when you really kick it down full throttle from about 10-20mph the car goes into limp mode says restricted power and gearbox fault etc when I bought the car the battery was flat we jumped it and drove it and was fine just reading a few threads over the net says it could be sign off battery on way out ??

All that needed to whip it off to check is a screwdriver.

But also they don't like flat batteries, so put that on charge. Have a read on here about alternators etc and check your voltages There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

If split it's most likely will be under the webbing on the right hand hose so have a look at that one first.  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Update on limp mode problem fault coming up as fuel pressure problem hopefully just a fuel filter ?? Any other problems leading to this anymore advice be great

Had similar on mine last month. Hoses were fine but the inlet manifold was split along an inner seam.
Restricted Performance when accelerating hard, and diagnostics showed fuel filter and various MAP/MAF sensor faults.
£420-ish for new manifold including 4 x hoses, plus 2 hours labour at the best independent around here, Maltings Off Road.

Yep mine 3.6 ! And got it back from garage today had a service plus new diesel filter they run checks on all injectors etc and everything was fine, they tested and hopefully everything is ok now cleared fault codes and seems to be all good till the next problem but oww well wouldn't drive anything else

the freelander derv units don't like having dirty fuel filters , I change them at every service on the 3 customers I have that own one , soon drop into to limp home if the filter is past it
