Today Its been a good day to WAX OIL the main sub frame of one of the Rangies - she's done 57,000 miles and behind the Front Bumber the sub frame was showing a bit of surface rust - which had to go - so no point in doing half a job - as usual just go all out and get her back to prime condition.

I think most of you will agree the LR322 is far better than any LR405 in terms for styling - I know this because we have both - and the LR 322 is just styled far better.

Aircraft is my first passion - then theirs the Rangies - I have to know how everything works - this one was 2 months old from new and I had to take her apart to find out what made her tick - I have that type on mind.

Warranty never comes into it - They build them I take them apart - and I can honestly say they are better than when they were in the show room

I would also add that if you take a bolt out and replace it always coat it in copper grease! 👍

I note what you say - but just be careful - MOST bolts are Torqued up to a correct value and if you use cooper grease then these WILL come lose and the TORQUE wrench WILL OVER TIGHTEN in every case as theirs no friction - which a Torque wrench needs !

Just think about what BOLT / NUT you are doing - as most of the time TORQUE Bonding is paramount

ie: Brake caliper mounting plates / Brake Calipers / Diff Bolts / Transfer Box bolts - these never use Copper Grease

But I know what you mean

I have to ask, but why are you still using Waxoil? There are far better rust treatment and corrosion treatments on the market that are vastly superior to Waxoil?

Dinitrol is hardly new. My father, a chemist, decided on Dinitrol in 1964 to treat his new A40 Countryman.

I'm currently clearing huge piled of MightComeInHandy from the front of our garage. I'm hoping in another week or so, I might reach the A40 and have a look at how well it has done. Old 110 2.3 Petrol ???? - ????

I didn’t say it was new? I said that it was better and having used both Waxoil and Dinitrol on many of my vehicles I find that Dinitrol is far superior to Waxoil.
