iPod upgrade issues

Hi All,

I have 54 plate FFRR and trying to upgrade from CD to iPod. I have the Intravee II and KCA stuff but am one of the unlucky ones to have founnd the larger 10 pin plug at the back of the CD player. I'm struggling to find a way to get the 6 and 2 (or 4..?) pin plugs I need to finish the job.

Could one of you kind members help me out with part numbers or descriptions and perhaps a place to buy them from if not a BMW main dealer.?

Many Thanks in advance Ash

Ashley. Did the part no I provided not work ? I had no issues getting what was needed from BMW. Have you been to see the parts dept with the intervee so you can check the connector fits. Pm me if you need more help.

Hi CMJ - I didn't have any luck trying to explain it to the parts guy I spoke to I'm afraid. He didn't really want to know as I said it was for RR and not BMW - My fault really.

arron - I've sent you a PM - Thanks Ash

Do you have BMW PN's for the 6 and 3 pin plugs? If not, both of these can work. They're short adapter looms for the CD changer:

84 11 0 141 978 or 61126904074

Cost at BMW should be around 10-15 GBP. Ask for the PN's, don't say for what and take whatever is avail and less expensive. Otherwise stop by a breakers and look for BMW E46 3 series. The CD changer was in the boot (where our satnav's are) and snip, snip.
