looks like fun good.. Thumbs Up how much does it cost to set a truck up, what do you run a defender?

RE going wrong; sounds like he took his foot of throttle or worse put the brakes on causing the nose to dip while in the air. 2004 black Vogue TD6

I used to do a lot of Trialling with the AWDC, until it started to get expensive. That was in an 87 Classic.

The 3.5 Auto classic was great trialling, would pish all over the susuzi's that turned up. The only things that would get further tended to be the heavily modded 90's - although they were often running on Range Rover running gear.

3.5 Powa = Good
Auto = Good
Full time 4wd = Good
Floppy Suspension = Good

If it's not your every day driver then you can have great fun, at the time the classic was my every day car, so had to treat it with a modicum of respect!

Ah the good ole days!

Have never competed but I sometimes go and help out at the SLROC events and through them have been involved with Winch Challange comps as well as Comp Safari, RTV, Mud Master Challenge. I got involved with the Scottish Hill Climb series a few years back but stopped volunteering because of the utter rudeness and lack of appreciation for any of the volunteer staff by 99% of the competitors - I won't ever get involved with events like that again on the volunteering side - it cost me a fortune to be a volunteer, but I did get to drive the entire offroad race track several times a day with an official, replacing knocked down/ damaged canes and direction arrows.. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

The Icelanders and Scandinavians do a little bit of off roading .....

Formula Off Road
tend to be in dormant Volcanos and other extreme places

featured on Top Gear a couple of times!

Check out Youtube

Not to mention Europa Truck Trials

When normal off roading gets tooo easy take a truck instead!

Used to be great watching all the european motorsport on Eurosport.
We just do not get the quality of TV in the UK

Wish I could watch the video myself but my net is at 0.3Mbs (thanks BT for not finding the fault) Big Cry .

Get yourself an old Defender (300Tdi is my choice) and have fun, without worrying about a little damage.
Just watch the urge to upgrade and modify. It can cost a lot, lot more than the Defender did.
