I don’t know of any French loopholes, and suspect if you receive the demand & you don’t pay they will impound your car the next time they see it, as well as improper relations with your daughter/wife/girlfriend depending on age and looks. As far as I can tell they can do pretty much as they please. I seem to recall it can take 6 weeks to get a notification.

I have been past a couple a little bit too swiftly, but they were not fixed, and I think Le Plod just shrugged as it’s to much bother talking to L’anglais.

If you don’t get a good reply here... try Peepipoo, free, they are not so active on speed any more , although some of the old hands still lurk there. It was one of their guys who failed to win in the European court - stitch up Twisted Evil
P used to cause a lot of legal disruption to many many illegal speeding cases- some of their members were involved in resulting in many millions being refunded.
Still active on illegal parking fines. Very slick! Mr. Green

Let us know how you get on with France as often over there.

Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

There is a live discussion on a Swiss fine Peepipoo .. clearly not the same as France. Don’t post to that , start your own thread. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Same went 3 times last year and got flashed twice coasting down hill, I had different wheels on which the speedo was reading 70 but I was actually doing 75mph. Nothing come through yet but if its 12 months then I still be collared Neutral .

Steve.

This story is enough to make you want to walk or just go on holiday somewhere other than France/Spain.

I’m not a complete nutter on the French roads, but the complete delight of driving here for the past 30 years made me come back time and time again and eventually buy one of their old houses and injecting oodles of cash into the french economy by renovating same.
My cousin, who lives in Holland, went to his pad in the south and found 12 speeding tickets on his mat on his return, he didn’t see a single flash .
If I had been caught up in this French “get rich kwik scheme “ I don’t think my love affair with France would of developed , I just wonder if a high proportion of British holiday makers will not come back after they have had their b Censored s chewed by La Plod ? Time will tell.

Read and enjoy Big Cry

Interesting attitude....lol

I’m far from an angel where motorway speeds are concerned, but I’m clear that I’m breaking the law - I get away with a lot, but when I get caught, I take it on the chin.

I drive faster in France due to the lack of points and insurance impact, but I know I shouldn’t.

The amount of money I spend, or the investments I make have no bearing on what laws I can break Confused

Drive at the right speed. I used to hammer around France in the past, but the last few times I’ve just stuck it in cruise at 85 and sat back and enjoyed the ride!! I figure if they really wanted to get you on the auto route they would simply time you between payages. And as I’ve got a toll tag they would know exactly where to send it.

If i wanted to drive at the wrong speed I would go to Germany. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
