It might be better/cheaper to fit an Intravee unit and move over to MP3/iPod music instead?

Check the classifieds, i'm sure i saw one for sale recently.

Unfortunately the Intravee only works on the BMW non touchscreen models. The later (2006) will need a diff rent method for iPod Neutral 2017 Jaguar F Pace 25t Portfolio - still part of the JLR family 😀

Or get the Bluetooth receiver that goes through the aux port for £10, ive used one a few years no issues, wires hidden in box and right angle extension into the cubby box where it joins the remote wire that sits in front of the gear stick.

Neat! I've ordered one from Amazon - should be here tomorrow. My current solution is hard wired but doesn't allow me to stream from my phone - so MANY THANKS for the inspiration for this!!! Land Rover Addict

Forgot to add i use this for the extension so i can close the rear lid on the aux port, i drilled a small hole and pushed it through and that's the best place as it misses the wiring and box under the ports,i left most of the cable under the cubby box and pushed the receiver wire into it and hid it under the box Thumbs Up

Scottyav. Couple of questions if I may:

Is the AUX in volume much lower than the Radio volume with this device?

Does this device affect or override the built in bluetooth handsfree/voice functionality (as it's a bluetooth device)?

Many thanks.

Fitted mine. Basically because I have so many things plugged in I didn't do anything fancy. The unit is next to the aux IN and plugged into the USB. All nice and neat.

Used Macrodroid to then tell my phone to open Spotify on connection to the BT device, pause for 1 second and then press play Smile

When I turn off the car - Macrodroid detects the disconnect to the BT device and pauses Spotify.

Job done - most excellent and a lot neater than the stupid iPod solution I had previously!!!!

*EDIT*

On my Pixel 2 I have told it that this device is STREAMING ONLY and the hands free BT on the car picks up call handling and contact sharing. It's awesome!!! Land Rover Addict

Update
Having lost the CD player and looking at very expensive second hand units I decided to remove the player and get it refurbed
So yesterday morning out I went toolbox in hand pressed the CD player on the dash and bingo it starts to work again the only thing I did different this week was give the ff a good blast down the motorway , kept it in manual to keep the revs above 3000 to clear out the crap so it seems a good engine blast has sorted out the CD player Thumbs Up

No - it's comparable (remember to turn up the music on the source though - i.e. the phone) Land Rover Addict

Thanks both for your replies.

As I'm sick of my ears being blasted when I switch from Aux in back to Radio, I've decided to try one of these:

https://bit.ly/2Ez8ETV

As you can see, it combines AUX in, Bluetooth and an amplifier (pre-amp?). Hopefully it will provide some volume punch and clarity to the BT music from my phone.
