Still wouldn't work with the lugs off, there's no room for the +ve terminal connector!!!

The 019 is the one suggested by the Halfords website, complete with 5 year warranty.

Think you need a diagnostic tool or a friendly garage. Charging system needs to do different things I believe or battery life will be substantially shortened.

I swapped mine for one of these a couple of months ago and , touch wood, it seems OK.

Thanks for all the input chaps -- now I'm happy to be shot down, but with a 5 year guarantee and the fact that the Yuasa was the one they suggested when I entered my 'reg' will this not be OK -- I mean it's a battery, not likely to die over night, and if it begins to fail I'm likely to notice? My, I suspect original, battery as fitted gave me about 3 weeks notice it wasn't happy................. Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

It'll be OK. I've had the same Yuasa 019 fitted for the past year and it's been fine. |
