So close

This is the 8th Range Rover, it will be 3 years old next month and the first not to go back to the dealership on a truck.

Yesterday the check engine light came on, phoned the supplying dealer who said I had to phone Land Rover assist, 3 hours later an AA van turns up, reads the fault code, extinguishes the light, tells me to book it in to the dealer. What a waste of time.

Wonder if it is programmed in to the ecu to encourage me to by an extended warranty. letters not necessarily in the right order

Dixy,
nope cos that means it will cost them and not you if anything goes wrong afterwards
I think Land Rover are spending enough on warranty claims

Business has been good and although I normally keep the cars longer than 3 years had been toying with the idea of a change.
JLR are on 3 day week and yet service dep doing there best to Censored people off.
Told girl on service reception (yes meant to be derogatory) that I was not impressed and suggested she got her supervisor to review. He to his credit phoned me but said they were too busy.

to be fair most of it isn't squealers is it LR themselves, if LR only produced more reliable cars service centres wouldn't be that busy.
The service network just isn't built for this amount of warranty/service work.
Just doesn't help us when they go wrong.

Is that why they have gone on to a 3 day week, to let the stealers catch up with fixing them. letters not necessarily in the right order

Just buy the ugly Bentayga.
Will save you a world of pain and disappointment.

JLR customer care and executive office are a joke and just play lip service to string you along.

Doubt very much you will get a speedy solution and then when they compensate you for the dealership doing a rubbish job you will be offered a tiny insult of repayment once you have been out for a meal to make you feel better for being completely shafted by their dealer!

Run, run away fast! Rolling Eyes

This morning having just left home to go to an important meeting it goes in to limp home mode.
This is why it should have gone in a week ago.
Phoned the dealer whilst limping along, service dept too busy to take your call.
40 minutes later they leave a voice mail saying speak to Land Rover assist. Why? so they can leave me with a cleared fault and tell me to take it to the dealer.
Phoned again when I got out of meeting, guess what, Too busy to take your call, still waiting for a call back. letters not necessarily in the right order

Love the cars - don’t love the company.
