L405 FBH Telestart Receiver Fob Pairing - Solved

Collected my L405 SC on Saturday but the seller has misplaced the remote park heat fob, I have a replacement but can anyone confirm where the Telestart receiver module is located (so I can pair the fob using the method of removing the power supply plug from the receiver for around 10 seconds and pressing the off button on the fob immediately after re-inserting the plug, which I assume will work per the L322).

Thanks

Isn't there a fuse you can pull ?

If it's anything like the L322, then it will be in the side of the boot -

Did this work, JCW?

Mine didn't come with a remote and was looking to buy one but no idea how to pair it and to what!

I assumed it would be a dealer visit to code in...

All working. Pulled the fuse for the FBH and then upon re-insertion held the off button down on the fob, and it's all paired again.

Fuse box is somewhat hidden behind some sound insulation. (Also found a tracker I've now removed)

Could you confirm which fuse no. you pulled Charles?

EDIT its fuse 16a in the lower fuse panel of the luggage compartment, 20a fuse.

so glad it worked.
I could have sworn I read somewhere that the sync process for the 405 is different to the 322.

I received my remote today and removed the panel in the boot to reveal the same view as in Alistair's picture above. However, I can't see any fuse numbers... I can see two fuse boxes - the large one just under the ivory trim in the pic, and a smaller one that's behind a cut out in the sound insulation just below the bright yellow connectors in the pic.

Can anyone tell me which fuse box and which fuse please? I know JCW says it's 16a, but not sure how to find the numbers. I have no manual and I'm no further forward after a couple of hours on Google.

Thanks in advance.

Its the yellow 20a fuse at the bottom left hand side of the smaller fuse panel, slightly hidden by insulation.

The fuse diagram should be on the inside of the rear panel you removed?

In any case, I couldn't get my new fob to pair using the method of removing the fuse, leaving for around 10 seconds, re-inserting and after 2 seconds but before 6 seconds, pressing and holding the off button on the fob for 2 seconds.

This method worked on my L322 but I can't get it to work on the L405.

Anyone that's had success, can you chime in on the method I'm using?

Thanks, JCW. I did find the diagram an hour or three later when I was putting it back together! Embarassed

Same issue though; no dice on the programming...

I’ve read several posts saying it does work, so maybe we’re doing something wrong?

The build sheet says “Park heat with remote”, so I would assume so. At least that’s what I’ve read on here. I can’t imagine anyone would have removed the receiver, but it seems pretty common that remotes aren’t passed on when vehicles change hands.

Where would the receiver live?

Now the InControl App doesn’t operate the Park Heat, only starts the RR, I want to add a second fob to leave at work. A couple of questions:

- Will the receiver support a second fob?
- Will the original fob need re-programming at the same time as the new fob or will the original fob remain programmed once the power has been removed from the receiver? MY23 D350 HSE
