Mark A is showing 226,000 on his 2011 4.4tdv8, so by no means a record at 150,000.

You definitely need to clue up on the buyers guide for general 322 issues. e.g. Rusty rear arches and tailgate. Then as above, you need to clue up on 4.4TDV8 issues, they can leak oil, the turbo drain is another one your really need to be aware about as already mentioned, and you'd want to know when the oil cooler, alternator and starter motor have been done (these typically go by 80k). Have a look at the 4.4TDV8 fault guide from Mike (Baltic Blue)

But most of all I think, you are buying (due to milage) a cheap car that would normally cost a fair bit more. New it would have ben IRO 75k and good ones still go for around £25k. So please do budget your servicing costs proportionately for a £20-25k car and not the bargain price you may be paying.

A full set of 5 Pirellis will cost you up to a grand. Brakes, air bag suspension, heated seats, etc etc etc - the parts and labour to keep these complex beasts running - costs a lot.

Check it carefully, on a ramp with the under-tray plates removed. Or get a purchase inspection done.

After you've done all your diligence, you'll be driving like a king. There is no car that can compete.
. Cheers, Greg

Wow! Thank you guys for all the info.
I’m going to have a read up on the points and links you’ve pointed out tonight as I’m not on call or working! Thumbs Up
Once I’ve done my homework a call to the seller is in order to see what they say.
Fingers crossed it all ties up!
Thanks again, and a great owners forum!!

Sorry if I’m being stupid, or missed the answer to this question, but if the car smokes when the second turbo kicks in will it eventually clear its self or will it need the drain mod??

They dont 'need' the drain mod, it depends on how you feel about a 25 second smoke screen. I was sceptical whether it could make such a difference but hand on heart, it does, im so pleased I got mine done.

The 4.4 V8 is easy to use below 2500 rpm, even 70 mph is only 1400 and you have to drive inh a manner i dont normally do to keep the turbo empty of oil. The other fear of course is that it wont be good for dpf having a load of oil dumped into it, I did monitor mine when I was booting it and only saw a minor rise in soot level.

Many people either don't have the issue or are happy to live with it, I wasnt and Green Oval did the job at less than half the price of a main stealer. The price of the car youre looking at is a very good price, I paid £14,000 for mine, 2012 130,000 on the clock one owner full main dealer history. The garage I bought it from paid £600 towards the drain mod. I love the car, I hate the quality but its such a nice place to be and nice mode of getting around. BMW i3 Electric Car

thats a good price from green oval

I would be tempted to get mine done at that price, even though I am in the Happy to give it a boatful now and then camp..... Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

So I called the seller today, after researching and reading the posts on here. He said that it was last serviced about 4K miles ago at an indie.
I asked if could email or message over photos of the service book and any invoices of the history, to see what’s been done.
He said he would, but still nothing yet, and now the advert has disappeared from the site Sad
He said it was still available, so hoping I haven’t missed out!!??
