Broke again

Sad to report that only 4 weeks after it's 2nd year service it is waiting collection back to garage, turbo/turbo actuator fault. Been in and out garage for last year, various faults that have took the garage several attempts to fix.
However it did behave for our 2nd annual trip to Germany. Except of course the whistling sunroof.

its a 4.4v8 autobiography. i have had it from new, 2 years old. its had at least 10 updates to the software, been in several times for a noise issue which they failed to diagnose and fix until 3rd attempt which was a wheel bearing. The dealer principal at Carrs in Truro was absolutely useless, makes the right noises but has very little ability. LRA were useless other than the technician who came out, he was great very informative and did all he could. Said needs to go into garage but safe to drive with the orange engine light on, but may go in to limp mode, which is not safe to drive at all with my wife at the wheel, she would panic if she lost power doing 70mph up the A30!!
LRA couldn't find a car for her, then said they would hire a car from Thrifty, by the time they had got round to finding a Jaguar for us my favourite dealer Roger Young had got a car, arranged with the wife to drop off and fetch hers which i might add they rang us several times to let us know what they were doing, and we didn't even by this car from them, we bought it from Carrs.
What i have learned again is that i should never have used Carrs Landrover Truro as they simply are useless at service and customer care

I waffled on, just really annoyed with the level of issues on a £100k car.

Sadly, most of them are. They make too much money to care.

Surprised "thrifty" were asked to provide a car, I thought they only had the contract for cars on the LR Extended Warranty (or to be more precise Car Care Plan) . ie cars > 3 and no longer covered by manufacturer.

Hope its fixed soon.

Apparantly they fill the void when none of the area dealers have any spare JLR owned cars available,

I was meaning in general / total - not just profits from new units sold.

That’s terrible DrDill. You are absolutely right, for a car with that price tag JLR should have a personal rep contacting you to ensure you are completely satisfied. ______________________________

Got to say, Roger Young Saltash pulled out all the stops and delivered car back yesterday, all cleaned, fixed and updated.
Didn't sell me the car but still stepped in and helped where Carrs of Truro failed miserably.

I have the SVD 8 in a sport 2.8 yrs old and just had the same turbo fault. Have to wait for the parts but this seems a common fault that only get attention when it occurs. expensive if the car is out of warranty.
