thanks cheezels for the steering info.

Will try to get to look at those bolts.

Diagnosis in. Oil cooler gaskets (I was dreading it might have been a turbo Big Cry )
Also having EGRs replaced at same time. Showing intermittent fault so get them done whilst stripped down for the gaskets. Will save on any future labour costs.
I wonder if it was leaking when I bought it but previous owner had it all cleaned off for the sale? Whistle Censored

Dr Rob, there is a common EGR fault code....

It relates to a prode in the NS exhaust manifold.

Changing the EGR may be a waste of money.

If you are getting that error code it's a probe (sensor) around £75.
But It'll cost a bit a labour on top of that:

Looks like it’s chepaer and easier to get a main dealer to change out the NS sensor.....who’d have thought that Whistle Rolling Eyes 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

EGRs not being replaced. A vacuum pipe was found to be disconnected which probably threw up the intermittent EGR fault error codes on the diagnostic.....

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Autobiography Black TDV8 Santorini Black

Hi all,
Bought my RR 3.6 TDV8 in Feb 2017, since then have had numerous water and oil leaks, with respect to oil leaks:
1, Main oil cooler
2. Gearbox cooler
3 Front differential drivers side output drive seal leakage
4. Main gearbox cover seal leakage
5. Output drive seal leakage from from front differential-still to rectify
6. Steering rack leakage

Drive is still covered in spots and a nightmare - still the car is drivable and a great car- what man made man can fix is my motto.

Steve what was your main oil cooler leak? Cooler itself or gasket? How did it show up on the car (i.e where did you see the oil)? Did you fix it yourself and if so how difficult was it? What age and mileage is your FF?

Thanks, Nick Previously a 2008MY Tonga Green Vogue SE 3.6 TDV8
