If it's a head unit with built in amplifiers then a simple adaptor lead is required. If not then you will need to bypass the amps.

Depending on the size of the unit, a fair amount of the plastic behind the dash has to be trimmed . The android unit appears to be an easier fit because it’s a better shape to the rear. One thing we did find out is that if you have a cente dash speaker, there will be a small amp in the left cubby in the boot. IIRC you need a trim piece from an e39 5 series to fill the hole . Not too daunting if you are handy with some basic tools, or find s9meone local to fire one in. I ran about for ages with a Bluetooth speaker in mine when the stereo packed up! | ||
