I suspect the RR has trailer nose weight maximum limits like every car. Recently I was towing a 4-wheel minidigger trailer with a 1.5 ton scissor lift in it. The air suspension could not raise the car if the trailer wasn't loaded in a balanced manner. Might be an issue with the suspension on my car(!) but if you know your trailer/caravan is heavy at the front, particularly if a two wheel van/trailer I would use a load balancer arrangement if available. IIRC the nose weight limit is 150kg - which is about as high as it gets.

It is alistair, but I think that’s a UK limit, the towing hitch will take more and I think that there is different limits in different countries.

I checked my handbook (2008MY) and it says the trailer nose weight is 150Kg max for diesels and 140Kg max for petrol but that if necessary when towing a heavy trailer with run-on brakes it can be increased to a max of 250Kg as long as the overall GVW combined with the trailer nose weight does not exceed the maximum rear axle weight limit of just over 2000 Kg.
