Did you not inspect the car before purchase?

Yes and I didn't notice. When I went out for the test drive and returned the car was under cover.

But to my mind that is not really the issue. If the seats shouldn't crack that early in life I would have thought it a warranty job. I do of course accept that the car is 2 years old, but I've owned 30 year old classic cars with less cracking.

As it’s only 2 weeks since you purchased it I think that you would possibly be able to reject it.

Did you purchase from a main dealer? If so do they have a time period for a full refund?

If you like the cat and want to keep it the threat of returning it may encourage them to restore or valet the seats so that they don’t look as bad.

I do like the car and wouldn't reject it.

Our service manager at the local dealership seemed also to think their decision was a bit harsh. He has given me another number to call.
