did opt for a dab aerial which picks up 80 odd channels so ditched the fm/am aerial all together

Oh awesome! Thanks fella. Is deffo an option. Everything I read pointed towards an instal being a right pain in butt! Accept, some days your the pigeon, some days your the statue!

I read exactly the same which almost put me off the whole idea but simply dismissing the original set up and going ahead with a whole new set up avoids all the conflicts that you'd encounter, plus you'll have so much more functionality with an android unit
