To be honest it is my own fault I haven't had any before and know where most of the static cameras are and of course they put the sign up about 3 to 400m before hand just didn't think they would follow up at least I know for next trip Smile

Sandy
Didn’t you notice the flash, or did you think it was a glint of sunshine in your mirror? Razz

Weegie, maybe best for anyone to get a French licence anyway , in case of a (hard) Brexit avoids the need for taking a new test!

Just returned, & I was pretty well behaved , having been forewarned by this thread. However if I missed any cams, the €40 odd gets bumped up by £100 admin charge as I was in a loan car (RR sport) & not so easy to get carried away in that.

I saw loads of damaged cams & gave a little yellow vest blessing each time. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Bill, I got onè just before reaching 70. No end date for A and B groups and no requirement for medical declarations every three years.

Having said that, things are (have?) changed and are being brought into line . John

Mrs Bill probably has the same line prepared. I’m not sure which is worse the fine or the smug look. That said thanks Bow down to this forum I was warned before my last trip and was as a consequence surprisingly good in the main. Partly because I was driving a RR sport as the FFRR was in hospital . A world of difference in driving.

I hope I was good enough, because JLR pay the fine and pass it on with a £100.00 admin charge Shocked I don’t want that 7 times over....... Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Stan Idea if you say it quickly in Sterling it’s only £278.00 doesn’t sound quite so much. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. The total of the fines is bad enough. The more problematic part is the seven points. Especially as you are intending several trips here in the near future. Neutral John

From what I deduced there is a large sign on the side of the road showing a pictogram of a car and motorbike and a radar sign - cant remember the wording they are usually on the roadside and the cameras are a few hundred meters further on They look like tall dark grey cylinders maybe John can describe them better - anyway I obviously am crap at noticing them Smile
