that seems a very reasonable for a full flush and diffs considering the price of atf and diff oils. I was quoted more for just the gearbox flush and filter/pan but they did say they only use ZF atf. Range rover 4.2 SC 06MY.

Cheers for your reply’s guys, I had a quote from 4plus four in Leeds for a double flush on gearbox including new sump/filter that was £590 plus vat. Anybody else dealt with these guys in Leeds? Noticed the gearbox has a small oil leak too (pale yellow straw coloured oil) so defo need to get it in for gearbox doing ect

4 Plus Four looked after my 3.6 RRS for 4 years and I can highly recommend them. I get the impression that their prices are on the way up so I will be asking them and Green Oval to quote for the next service on my FF. Current: FF Westminster money pit

Whoever was doing it I would be insisting they use the correct ZF Lifeguard 6 ATF fluid. It may cost a little more than their “preferred” brand but in my opinion it’s worth it for the added peace of mind.

Also make sure they change the sump pan/cover as it has a built-in filter and magnets – examining the magnets for metal particles will tell you a lot about the health of the gearbox (yours will be the ZF 6HP26 gearbox). Whilst they’re at it they could pop in a new Mechatronic sleeve (they’re only a few quid) – it’s where the wiring passes into the gearbox – when the O-ring gets old it can be a source of oil drips. 2006MY 4.2 SC

They are changing the sump pan ect and the sleeve as mine is leaking a little oil every day at the moment 👍🏼
