Just been checking rear discs on my 2004 L322 V8 petrol.

There is a little lip on edges, but when I run my finger across the face, you can feel ridges, not sharp, but highs and lows.

Is replacement needed? Could that be the cause a tiny vibration at speed?

Sounds fairly normal to me (have had those on just about every brake disc, ever....) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember

If you have a vibration, try checking the wheel hub areas/discs for an increased temperature on one or more after a run. If so you may have a sticky caliper causing a little binding which comes about when the car is driven for a distance. And use the back of your hand to check from the outer rim inwards!!
