ive asked them to drop the oil now ans see if there is any seperation.. Ive put 1.5 litres of coolant in so should see something if thats where its going. Regards

Looks like l’m wrong - sounds like they are having a proper look but a porous block is still something that I thought had gone away decades ago |

Can they not pressure test the coolant system instead of just looking for signs of a leak. |

Apparently they have done that. it held pressure for 45mins Regards

oil has been dropped and no coolant is visable no seperation etc.. sump drain bung has been re installed and will be left overnight and cracked open again tommorow to see if any coolant comes out the sump..
