Supercharger removal

Hi all can I remove the supercharger without removing the thermostat housing up front? I want to reduce as few coolant pipes as possible.

No worries - many thanks - on the if I leave the cooler hoses connected can I lift them up at all? I need to change once of the manifold gasket as it leaking but could do without messing around with coolant for the sake of it

Well spent about 6hours today took the blower out - for anyone doing this a couple of time saving shortcuts -

Unles you want to you can leave the coolant hoses attached to the throttle body and it it to the side - they are long enough.
You don’t need to mess about with the tensioners you can take the bolts out the charger and lift the back up and the belt slips off and vice versa.

Anyway got it all off did a smoke test and had no leaks wtf! So i conceded it must have been somewhere in the blower setup.
Also I had the back supercharger bolt loose which was what my metallic sound was occasionally- vibration I think.
Did the oil too as i literally turn it upside down.
Got it back together and I put a thin film of rtv sealant between all gaskets and no smoke leaks except a tiny one from the bottom of the oil filler?

By far the hardest two things to do we’re to the the bottom offside bolt out of the elbow screwing into the charger and getting the breather pipe off the elbow as the access is pretty poor. The rest is fairly time consuming but straight forward. I actually sat on the side rod the engine for ease.

Anyway hope that helps someone Current stable:
