I don't know if the wiring is correct but I guess it was OK as it looks like the pump looked original.

I changed the thermostat a few months back but that said, during this saga the temperature gauge, on occasion, would stay at cold accompanied by the fan being fully engaged. Again with no relevant errors, clearing 'all faults' anyway the fan speed reduces to normal and the temperature gauge indicates normal. . . Range Rover 4.2 SC

Did you do both temp sensors? As in the one under the car by the oil filter? Current stable:

I changed the coolant temperature sensor - no change. Cleaned the MAS - no change and ordered a new one but hasn't arrived as yet.
Finally gave up and called the RAC and they worked on for over two hours (including 30mins calling their tech) and couldn't fix it so it was transported to LR on Friday and they'll start working on it hopefully on Wednesday. Range Rover 4.2 SC

It's fixed.

Had to go genuine. Picking it up this afternoon.
Apparently the 'misfire on cylinder 5' is some kind of catchall for a pending 'get yer wallet out' quite often. . . Range Rover 4.2 SC
