that's what swung it for me, I wanted something light as the ivory on the red one has been OK. but this being black with ivory dash and a fixed pano roof should fulfil the light and airy requirements.

has some new toys to play with too, reclining rear seats apparently looking at the pics, adaptive cruise, some in control apps, and hopefully my phone should connect for music......

Just need to get a tow bar fitted, which is a good thing as I try not to buy cars with bars then at least I know that they haven't towed tonnes of horses round!

first car ive ever put a deposit on sight unseen. As its AUC I'm hoping that there won't be too many gremlins to find, Beadles are going to service it, and put a new ticket on it as you would expect, the seats look in decent order, there are a few dents on the centre arm rest, but they look like where its been resting on the heater controls..... otherwise it looked minty. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Looking to seeing it ..........

Car collected this evening.

It was prepped well, hardly a mark on it. and looked quite smart, the only thing which is irking me is the fact that though it has 4 practically new tyres the fronts are Pirelli and the tears are good years..... Why would you do that...... anyway I’m swapping the tears out for some verde scorps.

How much fuel did they put in the tank for you ?

About a third, which is more than I left them...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I drove to Stafford to collect mine and I left mine with half a tank and they gave me about £20 worth ! Anyway when can we see it please ?

Need to get a Tow bar fitted as a matter of course.

(Was looking for a non tow bar car)

As I mentioned I have a price of about 450 for a westfalia detachable. Has anyone had experience of “plug and play” electrics on a 405? Do they need some coding? Or are they mostly Ok. Not too bothered about silencing the PDC I’d that’s all that doesn’t work.

Other thing I need to do is get me another wheel and tyre. As at the moment it has a “reduced section” spare.......... that’s space saver to the rest of us!! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

The New fattie and Me are now home.

Only one issue so far. I was fiddling with the drivers seat and the airbag light came on..... I reckon It’s probably wiring under the drivers seat as it happened when I put the seat all the way down. I’ve had a play and a poke at the plugs this mornjng and the light seems to be staying off.
