My plan is to not wash the wheels and cover them up when washing the body work to avoid water getting onto discs.

One of these days JLR will wake up to the idea of a solar charger panel instead of the glass roof panel, particularly for hybrid/ electric cars to keep the batteries topped up.

If you haven't got tow-bar electrics, there's no reason why you couldn't run a cable from the battery down to the corner of the grill & wire up you're Optima connector there, it'll be discreet enough & again, means you can charge with the vehicle locked safely.

If it is easier to connect to the rear , because you drive into the garage, rather than reversing in....

Some of the Disco lads have their Ctek connectors from battery tucked under the back edge of the bonnet on the scuttle. They then just pull it out a little and then connect up the Ctek. The Ctek chargers come with a lead with eyelets on one end and the Ctek connector plug on the other. Another option ![]() 2025MY Defender D350 90 in Silicon Silver on coils 1974 Series 3 Lightweight = "Millie" Many, many other Landies over the years My preferred specialist: www.glenrands.co.uk -------------------------------------------------- |

Thanks , but...... I would expect them to of thought of that and somehow have a non rusting type of metal or whatever.... So if I drive thru a puddle in my driveway I’m a bit b.....d ( techinical term ) Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc He who dies with the most toys wins... |

As long as you're using them, brake discs dry out & the pads remove any small amount of surface rust.

I have my CTEK MXS 7.0 connected to the car via the boot cigarette power socket - seems to work fine. I think this one is live when the ignition is switched off and the car locked.
