dunno Alistair...these are 'E' marked so does that make them ok?

and that very small illuminated bit on the OE light, does it really make a difference in the real world... ... - .- -.

I tell mine everything just in case - I get charged an extra premium for having genuine 22's from the same MY but not factory fitted - it's 20's on the build sheet and I don't want to run the risk of a claim being rejected.

Once you're into the realm of what might potentially constitute a safety feature, things get a bit grey.....

i see what Craig is referring to now....put the hazards on and from the front you cant see much of the light and stood at the back you see a small orange bit right on the tip of the mirror housing..

so with the dynamic indicators you wont seen that but the side/front will be more visible... ... - .- -.

The C & U Regs must have been changed because at one time all indicators had to flash in unison with one another.

They must also have changed regarding foglights being used as cornering lights because at one time auxiliary lights had to be mounted & used in pairs. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

Ive had the same thought as you Brian when i purchased our latest Ford Connect... The front fogs are the cornering lamps! Not twin bulbs as i was expecting...

Hello everybody,
This is my first post. In response to the “sweeping” indicators from PowerfulUK, I have fitted them to my car. I think they do add a certain style and I don’t think they represent a danger in their operation.
I’ve enclosed a couple of photos with them on the car, although it’s a photo and it’s not representative of their functionality.

Regards,

Peter

Hello Stan,
Thank you for your welcome. Personally, I bought them on a style basis, and on that factor I am pleased with them. Regarding whether they are visible from the rear, I would say that they aren’t as visible as the originals. However, does that really matter? If your spatial awareness is good, then I don’t consider that to be much of an issue. If your attention has lapsed momentarily, and an approaching vehicle could misinterpret your actions, then yes these could be deemed as less satisfactory. But there are other safety aids to warm you of a potential situation anyway.

So for me, and we are all different, it was merely an aesthetic purchase decision.

Peter

thanks Peter..

i think the dynamic ones would be more noticeable from the side and front , ie at junctions for instance..

must order some before i change my mind.. ... - .- -.

Stan, I fitted a pair of these this morning and no, they aren't as visible from the rear, but you're right, they are more visible from other angles. On balance, I'd say they're a good mod and had Craig not mentioned the view from the rear, I doubt I'd have noticed. He does of course have a point though.

Yes, on the whole very pleased and they seem well made. Just be aware you need to push the connector in the opposite way to originals for some reason and the mirror casings in my case were a bit of a Censored to remove.
