John

Why not have a search about the in tank pump. There's quite a few threads on problems with these, from connectors that are subject to a tech bulletin and the fact that the securing bridge fails and lets the pump fall over. The connectors sound favourite, assuming the pump is the same a my MY11. Access is from inside the car, but it's best if you have the means of removing the fuel or if the tank is as low as you can get.

It's not a difficult job to get at the pump, just needs time and care to avoid mess. If you think your in tank pump is kn*****ed then you'll have to be in there to replace it, so a bit of fault finding and apossible simple repair may be on.

If I am able tomorrow, I'll have a search as well. Cheers
Richard

I did mine a couple of years back with a cheap pump from China 15pounds delivered. Its still going strong. You will also need a foot of fuel hose and a couple of jubilee clips. At the time I was not ready with the hose and was worried about using normal rubber EFI hose submerged in diesel but can confirm it's not been an issue. ( The fuel pump wiring on the TD6 is not an issue unlike the TDv8). Here is a link to the pump I used... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3282411991...4c4duvodRB 2007 TDV8 VSE

Johnsd1v8, out of interest what hose did you use after removing the shrunk hard plastic connecting the pump. I was very concerned using normal EFI hose in a submerged fuel situation. I still have a piece of the hose I used in a jar full of diesel on my workbench which I can check the state of. When my pumps were both changed it really transformed the drive. Before, although the car started and ran fine, if I floored it at 50mph plus it just bogged down and acted like it was running out of fuel 2007 TDV8 VSE

That seems a great price for the complete pump and sender assy. I only got the pump then swapped it over using the old float assy 2007 TDV8 VSE
