Hitachi compressor still unrepairable?

Hi
I read many comments Hitachi s don’t do good when repaired.
Is it still the same?
I saw same kits on flea bay. 2010 3.6tdv8 180k km.

I used this kit and it was certainly working better afterwards.

It still occasionally throws the "normal height only" message, but quite rarely and I think I might have tightened the end of the drier filter too much, strangling it a bit.

I had problems with mine, tried the repair kit, didn’t work, so ended up buying a new one from E-bay at slightly more than the repair kit.

I rebuilt mine and it works great. Best bet is to do the desiccant and filters first and only do the pump if that hasn't solved your issues. Rob 05 L322 4.2SC

I’m resigned to having to replace mine.
I’ve loosened the filter in the desicant container but it’s still throwing the error.

Pump runs for up to a minute on startup then throws the error message. System doesn’t lose height overnight so I’m assuming there’s no leak.
I assume it’s either timing out or overheating before it manages to refill the air reservoir.

The pump has got some white writing on it - like a breaker might do if supplying a second hand unit... so I wonder whether it’s an old one.

Is there any way to tell which compressor you have without taking it out? I have a horrible feeling mine is needing replaced.

Open the cover.
Probably you can see which one by looking the back of compressor(cabin side). 2010 3.6tdv8 180k km.

I drilled a hole on copper filter.
And after the faulty bag is changed it is OK no heating.
It was untouchable so hot once so I believe Hitachi is more durable comp. 2010 3.6tdv8 180k km.
