Brake pad warning light. Cutting back wiring .

Hi.

I've turned off the pad warning bong with my iid tool but am still left with the exclamation mark on the dashboard. Somewhere on the car is a wiring fault and I want to just cut out the pad warning loom, I always check my brakes and the car will be never be sold so no safety issues (is a 2003 Vogue by the way )

I thought I'd chased the earth fault down inside the osr door wheel arch pad but alas no.

Does anyone know where on the car and what colour wires I can loop together as close to the dash end as possible??

Thanks 👍 2003 4.4 Adriatic Blue FF

On my D3 if you cut the wires at the brake pad warning sensor and join the two ends together, it stops the pad sensor warning light. The pad wear sensors are cheap to replace.

Thanks Ivan.

I did that originally with no success, I believe there's a break in the wiring somewhere further info the car. I want to remove the wiring as far back towards the binnacle as possible and then join those two/ four end together.

I don't have a wiring manual that's why I'm hoping someone else had done this already.. looking to id the offending wires somewhere accessible near the dash. 2003 4.4 Adriatic Blue FF

According to the L322 wiring diagrams in the Wiki, 2 wires connect to the instrument pack in connector C0234 at pins 4 (yellow) and 20 (yellow with brown stripe). The 2nd wire from each connector are linked to provide the path. Joining pins 4 and 20 would short the path to indicate that both pad wear sensors are intact.
