Chaps, has anyone come up with a genius solution to attaching the CTEK connector to the remote battery posts?

Alistair, how have you physically connected the +ve terminal to the CTEK connector?

The -ve terminal I can see perfectly but the +ve is covered by the plastic cover.

Thumbs Up

Check the thread size - I think mine was an accessory rather than the one that came with the charger - and it had larger holes in the connector.

I think I needed to undo the +ve cover to get underneath it, but was straightforward otherwise I would have remembered.

A Ctek 5 amp charger will have to work hard , the 10 amp would be better . Even the 10 amp has to left for 48 hours before it shows fully charged .

I've had my 5 amp Ctek for close to 7 years now. It has revived a couple of batteries off other cars and is used to 'pep' up my fatty's battery occasionally. Usually done overnight. Not really hankered after a more powerful one TBH. Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)
Galaxy 2001-2007
Mondeo Estate 1997-2001
Sierra Estate 1993-1997
Uno Turbo 1987 -1993
Fiesta 1984 - 1987

So I got my M8 CTEK connector and just put in the car now. Easy just follow what has been said in the posts.
The indicator was flashing amber, I expected that. A few short journeys then a week getting the paint treated (lots of open and shutting without the engine running).

So have hooked it up to my MSX 5.0. I will leave it over night and see in the morning. SDV8 AB MY 2020

So the charger was on all night. This morning the voltage read 12.1 under the bonnet - what values are others getting? I think this is still a bit low. So it going to take many night to fully charge the battery or one good long trip... SDV8 AB MY 2020
