Has anyone bought a L405 and fitted the electric tow hitch.
Ive seen a few cars in the right price range but some don't have a tow bar.
Just wondering if this can be done and what sort of cost and is it an easy thing to do.

A few have fitted the detachable one - not heard of anyone retrofitting the deployable though.

FWIW when I was looking at main dealers used, I was quoted 1k for removable & 3k for electric to supply & fit

I managed to find a car with a deployable already fitted

Crazy expensive.

I got a westfalia plug in bar fitted by a local place with Westfalia dedicated wiring for about £600 only slightly less neat when unplugged than the electric one. And more reliable if used infrequently.....

And at the end of the day made by the same folks that did the OEM bar for the 322. I think the electric bar is made by someone else but it escapes me who at the mo. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Retrofitted an electric deployable to mine last week. The electric bar is also made by westfalia

You need a fair bit of parts but they are available if you hunt for them
I managed to do it for a shade over £500 using second hand but managed to bag a few bargains on the auction sites. If you don’t mind used parts you’ll easily get them all for under £900 and it only took a couple of hours to fit
