more rusty sills

from being perfect looking at the beginning of Covid to now my car has developed rust patches on the rear quarter wheel arch door interface just like all the others.
I had a good garage sort it last year but seemingly because of lack of use sitting still has let the rust worms go wild.
I have a pal in a Chipsaway franchise and he has recommended a repair place.
it's booked in for treatment early December and I will post an update - good or bad.

I've just had mine all waxoyled when I had the arches sorted. Hopefully it's good enough to keep it away.

It was pretty rough behind the wheelarch liners too but still treatable.

Shocking really. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Cutting out every last bit the rot and replacing with new metal,is the only way to sort this, rust converters, primers, paint and waxoil will only hold it for 12-18 months then the dreaded bubble will appear in the paint.

I agree. Hopefully my pre-emptive strike will keep it at bay. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Had this issue with mine , both sides, including dealing with the rust behind each of the rear wheel arches and then dealing with both sills was a £3k restoration at a recommended restorer. With my vehicle being a one off I bit the bullet so as to ensure there was no further deterioration. I suspect it is the death knell for many vehicles eventually as the jacking points go . Holland and Holland Range Rover By Overfinch
