United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Bonatti Grey

Looks pretty tight on space there. Think it's like any car to be honest, fairly simple jobs can be the biggest pita. That's pretty evident on a range rover anyways. What's the long term plan for the bmw

No real overall plan at the moment, but needs to be driven a bit in the new year. It’s had all the snags on the body done, and could do with a New headlining on the hard top, but other than that it’s not in bad nick now. Mechanically it needs the guibo doing, the brake fluid changing and an oil change, but that should be it for this year. The parts are sitting there waiting to go on, I’ve just got to get round to it!

I did toy with the idea of trying to get a bit more power out of it, but tbh I put it on a dyno 18 months ago and they reckoned it was making 320bhp at the flywheel. Which is stock power! I don’t buy it personally, but they reckoned it was about right give or take. I have a set of slightly bigger Bosch injectors sitting in the drawer to go on, but I had all the original ones out and took them to our local Bosch service centre in Swad, they cleaned and flow checked them and they were all pretty well matched, so I decided to put them back in. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Sounds like a weekend on it and it will be good to go then n you can enjoy it in the lanes.

320bhp still ain't a bad effort for a car that's best part of 20 year old. I'm careful with the rolling road testers though myself. Had a focus st170 with 100k on it. Chucked it on a well known dyno here in Essex and it gained 22bhp

They started at 168 but mine pushed out 190bhp which appeared some what odd.

I've gotta get some new injectors for the subaru. Been advised on going for Fuji 1000cc for this set up as it will be running 600bhp eventually based on an ej22 block converted to a 2.35

Decided to keep mine stock as there isn’t much scope for getting a lot extra out of it as it’s naturally aspirated. There are SC kits available but that really isn’t the point in a soft top.

Has just sat in the garage on the C-tek for the last 6 months. Needs a run. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Tbh any N/A engine car, your always gonna be flogging a dead horse for power. I remember when I had a cavalier 2.0sri 140bhp, I tried getting that up to 200bhp as back then I knew best so spanked my earnings on exhaust, manifolds, air intake, throttle bodies etc All the engine specialists pretty much laughed at me. After about 3.5k I realised I only made 25bhp so stuffed that off and bought a cav gsi 4x4 c20let

3.2l ——- 320bhp

That’s 100bhp per litre. I don’t think there is many modern engines which do much better. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Excellently worded Craig. If you hadn't have been so careful a reader wouldn't know if you'd bought the same car twice or the same model twice.

That is gorgeous. Not jealous at all.

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.

Very impressive tho mate.

Transit looks too nice too take stuff too the tip. I've got a hi top transit but as I'm going through a messy relationship breakdown I suspect I'll loose the van but it was only ever used to tow my trailer before I got the range rover.

Elise looks pretty cool mate. They as much fun as they made out to be
