500yds down road red visit dealer dpf light came on
Crying or Very sad
connect iid 31.1 grams showing Shocked
connect icarsoft lr2 use forced regen program
and forced a regen got 1.6 grams now showing with iid
so icarsoft can get rid of red dpf warning took 20 mins all at around 50mph

Wow, this is great to hear and potentially a game changer.

I found a Youtube clip on this here too.

Seems strange the iid cannot carry out forced regen.

the alternator packed up
when I first started it amber dpf came on straight away
this wasn't on when car parked up
then red came on 500 yds later
with a reading of nearly 32grams
I'm thinking that alternator made everything go wrong when it packed up you could smell it
their was no warning it just died
never had an issue up till this point
just glad that it didn't need to go to a dealer / indy to be sorted as cost is big issue at moment
thought that folks would like to know that you can do this at home
as this is the point of having a forum to discuss what can and can't be done Thumbs Up

@JNC Unfortunately the IID Tool doesn't do a DPF regeneration despite many members on here contacting Pat at GAP to see about having it added. It's a shame really as it's a good tool yet cheaper ones on the market now have the ability to do a regen. Maybe one day Pat will add this function 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE

I emailed Pat yesterday with this link to see if it would motivate him to move this function up the customer wishlist.
He says it is on his list of things to do, but no indication yet of when that might be...

Well that’s probably the best response we have had from Pat so far. Normally he just says there are no plans to add it. Hopefully now others are offering it he will add it to the IID tool👍🏻 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE

I hope you are right and that it is still “on a must do” list, but he told me that 3 years since, and the cynical old man in me thinks he has moved on from L322 development to concentrate his efforts developing tools for the later model L405’s because it makes more business sense. He has already got our money Big Cry Big Cry

I hear you Baltic!!

By co-incidence Pat just emailed me back. I had asked him to give us an approximate time-frame.

He says: "We will to give an estimate of a release date shortly"
