Anyone with a 3.6TDV8 and Gap tool able to check something?

Looking for a bit of help if anyone can assist - I need someone with a GAP tool and a 3.6 TDV8, I dont think the 4.4 TDV8 will give the same values as the turbos on that are sequential, I think it has to be a 3.6 where the turbos work at the same time.

Anyway...

I'm getting the bong + ESF shortly after startup and my GAP tool is reporting
"P132B-21 (2F) Turbo/supercharger boost control A performance - General signal failure - signal amplitude<minimum"

I suspect I've got a sticky actuator, and checking the Live Values on the GAP tool, it's showing the Boost Pressure Actuator 2 is at 10%, whereas Boot Pressure Actuator 1 sits around 95%

Can anyone check on theirs and see if these values are the same as mine (10% and 95&) or the same as each other (i.e both are 95% or both are 10%) - reading various posts it could be the 95% is the stuck one, or might be the 10% one, not sure.

Anyway pretty sure reading the Workshop Manual I know which turbo it is, just looking for some confirmation so that I can be sure when I've fixed it which values I should be looking for.

Hope that makes sense. Image of IID log below, if it helps...

Both turbos should actuate between 5-95%, and should be (generally) within a few % of each other Thumbs Up

Yeah thats what I was expecting. Question is, I'm not sure which is normal idle value - 10% or 95%? 09 RR Westminster 3.6TDV8 - Stornoway Grey / Black interior - now gone (sad face)

Neither Laughing

From memory, they are around 65 or 75% at idle, exercising through their full range when you switch off.

Id need to check my own V8 on Monday

It's OK, I just found this on a more careful read of the WM

"At idle, the angle should be approximately 95%, at 3,000 rpm, approximately 40%, and when "blipped" the voltage should change smoothly at approximately 25% per 100 ms."

That's what I needed to know. Thanks for the help Mikey 09 RR Westminster 3.6TDV8 - Stornoway Grey / Black interior - now gone (sad face)
