what I object to is
a) having the radio re-tuned to "bang" music;
b) finding that the auto lights have ben switched off.

Given that we have the pandemic going on, I fail to see why they have to touch any more than the basic of controls, let alone the touchscreen and heater controls. God knows what they do on the “test drive”. Only needed to make sure the brakes were bled correctly, and they didn’t even have to drive off the industrial estate for that.

And it definitely doesn’t need two of them.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Rolling with laughter I’ve not had a McDonald’s for over a year, so I hope they enjoyed it.....

I can get a bit ranty with these things, I just expect them to take care of it, or at least have a bit of quality control before they hand it back.

I completely agree and I am the same. I'm also pedantic with the inside of my vehicle - door bins are always completely empty, no hanging air fresheners, vents always facing the same direction and headrest always set at the same height. You're not alone Wink Kev

Gentlemen, do you mind if i have a little moan? Its a real pet hate of mine! That little statement, "im a little OCD"
Trust me when i say, i have a friend who has/suffers with the debilitating & life changing! NO, life limiting condition that is OCD...

Im a pedantic sod that likes things "just so" trust me, one of my favourite finds on my 405 was the two front seats having memory functions! I could finally set both seats in the same orientation and memorise them! Yay, a win for the virgo's again! You only need to see any of my cars to see, i have a bit of an obsession...

But OCD, no i don't and thank god i don't suffer with the disease that rules? No ruins my friends every day existence... So, i know its just a saying! But think how it must make "real sufferers feel" "PLEASE" Bow down

Ta Thumbs Up

Previous post edited to use the word 'pedantic' in order to not cause offence.

I can't imagine what life must be like for you're friend Craig. It must be horrible. Kev

I have CDO.

It's like OCD but in the correct alphabetical order.

I take Craig's point ref OCD. However, I think we are a pretty inteligent bunch on here who understand the massive difference between banter OCD and the real thing. One of my daughters has in the past suffered from crippling OCD which she thankfully has under reasonable control these days, but it really hasn't been easy for her (or those around her on occasions) but it's never far under the surface just waiting to take control again and she knows this.

I use the term 'OCD' in banter and I use it around my daughter, she knows the difference as do I, and has no issue with it. We have to be careful about 'politically correcting' everything whilst maintaing an understanding. This doesn't just apply to OCD, it applies to a multitude of things. Drives:

I was the one who used the OCD phrase in a previous post, and this was done purely in the light hearted sense that was the scenario at the time. If I have offended anyone or anyone's family, you have my apologies. It was purely banter related and nothing more. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Just to put this into some context, there are varying degrees of OCD and the 2 types mentioned by Craig & rvbush are more extreme cases and cause a lot of anguish not just for the sufferer but for family and friends alike. On a lower scale, there is evidence that most of us have a mild form of OCD such as people that have to line everything up a certain way or who have a morning ritual that has to be played out the same way day in, day out. The minor forms tend to be the ones that we find humour in as some of us can recognise ourselves in these. I don't believe anyone is ridiculing the seriousness that some OCD sufferers face on a daily basis or the debilitating way their lives are affected but I feel that it's right that Craig and rvbush have raised the other side of this issue to make others aware that there are two sides to this. 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE
