Pete, on your fuel pressure issue is there any chance the fuel pipes have any gunk in them if the filter has helped? Just thinking if its worth running a can of BG44k through to flush through?

Have you got access to an SDD? There’s a fuel pressure test on there IIRC.

How difficult was the filter change by the way? - I’m thinking of doing mine.

It's already had a can through...!!

I've not got the SDD but it's weird it can deliver full pressure at 3/4 throttle but run out of juice at full... I'll do some more googling, maybe the US and Canada markets will have more info...!!

Filter wasn't too bad, carpet up under the rear seat, usual useless metal retaining ring... hardest bit was getting the electrical plugs off as they are hard to see how the plug retainer is freed... Pete

Thanks Pete, what are you thinking of next? Have you been able to check the fuel pump pressures that are covered in that youtube video?

I've got a lot on at the moment so fatty is taking a bit of a backseat... hopefully have some time soon to work through the fault...

It works fine unless you floor it so it's not exactly urgent...

I did a bit of reading the other night, it appears the pumps are solenoid controlled so that's another area to look at... Pete

Three month update...!!!

Life has been very busy and the Rangie has had absolutely nothing done to it...!! It's been up and down the M1 more times than I care to mention and has performed well, quite amasing that it has gone for three months with no issues, well it is for any Rangie I have owned...

Having said that the fueling issue is still there but goes into limp home only occasionally, I have noticed it is better when it's cold and wet so it's better with dense air, maybe the MAF is an issue...

I'll hopefully get some time soon to give it the love it needs and sort it out properly.

In the meantime I'm hoping life returns to normalish and family medical issues reduce...

Still makes you laugh when you exercise the right pedal though...!! Pete

Bought some stainless bolts...




And replaced them...




Much better....

If anyone else is as sad as me they are M8 x 40mm, change them one at a time and you won't have to realign the latch..

You wouldn't happen to know the thread size as well do you? I'm like you, hate those rusty bolts. But bitter experience tells me that the thread size (pitch?) is very important as well...

Course thread 1.25 it's considered the standard one...
