Wow, you've gone through all the same thoughts I did too, especially around that end panel where all the example pics you find are of pre-2010 vehicles without the air bag key, and you assume there must be a different technique on the later models....but there really isn't!
I remember removing the cables for the glovebox locks and the end vents being a real pain to unclip, too...

I bet the back seats are filling up with trim panels and vents now Laughing

ROFLMAO

Yes the backseats have all the pieces. It did cross my mind that when I have no power the boot will be useless. It’s nearly organised and I bagged the screws and taped them to the panels. All T-20 it turned out to be, bar those two Censored for the CD changer which was the reason I couldn’t get the upper glove box off.

I’ve lost so much time with the trim panels that is just unbelievable. Partially because the instructions just step over them, but mostly the end panels and those clips for the vents.

Tomorrow morning I’ll take the power off; I’ve got this weird thing where I get worked up about sparks from a battery. And it didn’t help seeing the video from powerfuluk take off positive first. It made me think is this some kind of weird Range Rover engineering as I’ve never ever done positive first. Then got scared about the “bomb” on it and so on. And there is no space underneath there to just quickly and easily jank it off, it will need a bit of a wiggle.

Anyway it’s stupid but I fear it on this car 🤣
