Suck it out via the vacuum pipe on top of engine. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

DO NOT try and remove the sump bolt and then put it back in. You will end up with about 9 litres of oil all over the place. Ask me how I know.

Also be aware that the gauge is very sensitive to gradients. the car must be on an absolutely flat and level surface or the gauge to read correctly. Even a small incline can have a significant impact on what the gauge says. Bish.
