Did you clear the codes? The EGR should in theory be isolated from the engine now, even if it fails the performance should be good and you get codes. Mine throws the odd code about one EGR bank issue, but it usually goes away on restarting. I have blanked the EGRs.

The hoses can collapse as they weaken with age. That’s why many folk swap them out for silicone ones.

If you haven't already replaced those 2x top hoses it's worth doing anyway as sooner or later they WILL split. But also if they're starting to collapse you're going to get and airflow restriction which may well explain the fault codes you're getting. You should be able to get the pair for around £120, and they only take around 20 mins to fit. |

Thanks Sam for the advice. I changed the hoses on my last 3.6 so will likely do the same with this one. Currently still none the wiset as to the problem. Once I determine the current fault I will decide what to do.
