United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

I may be interested, I noticed a screw in the tyre yesterday and got a panic on as I has some miles to do and getting that sort of tyre wouldn’t be a same day thing - my spare is the original 19!

Bit of a result at the tyre fitter when he pulled out the screw and it was 5mm long and hadn’t pierced the tread Thumbs Up

Anyway...19s, let me know what they look like as how much.

Cheers

Jools

How do you get on with the Cross Climates, I have access to a cheap deal on these and am quite tempted having used them on a car but have not met anyone who has had the SUV version 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone
2005 4.4V8 (M62) Bonatti Grey/ Parchment interior - gone
1998 4.6HSE Blue/ Cream interior (can't remember exact colours) - gone

Yep pleased with them, have done several long Autoroute trips seem to be wearing ok, no noise issues. Don’t notice significant roll into corners. I have also done a Salisbury Plain trip & Battlefield trip around Calais off road & got through mud where others failed. They are more prone to cuts off road than the Grabber AT3. Would get climates again for sure. Think they were £570 for the set through Black Circle when purchased

Have had a set on a Mondeo & got 42k from them where Avon’s did around 22k have just got a set of cross climate + on the Mondeo see how they get on

Cheers

Ride comfort is a difficult one for normal users to gauge. For sure 55 profile on a 19" rim will ride more forgivingly than a 50 profile on a 20" rim. However, a new 55 profile on a 20" rim will also ride noticeable better than a worn 50 profile on a 20" rim. Everyone must notice how much better their car rides (read smoother and quieter) when you put new tyres on, even if they're the same as the old ones. I've just replaced the rears on mine (Scorpion Zero's, 255 x 50 x R20, like for like replacement) and even though the fronts were replaced not that long ago (small difference, but not great), the improvement is very noticeable. All of that said, the ride etc on 20" rims with 50 profile tyres is not exactly poor is it? Drives:

R20s are the best with 255/50 for handling

I wouldn’t worry too much about the size of the wheels when looking, there are more important things to look out for. You could buy a set of 19” on eBay and sell the 20s. The ones for sale now don’t look great but you could get them refurbished and it still won’t cost a huge amount.

On this topic, which is very helpful... I'm thinking of leaving the winters on the 19" supplied with the car and getting some 20" for summer tyres. Does anyone have a link to which 20" were standard offerings for 2006 models? I quite like the ten spoke simplicity. --------
