Yakima Whispbars - Front or rear

Good evening all,
I've just bought a set of the Yakima whispbars with the correct foot kit for the L322. The idea is to increase cargo space for camping!

So, I was planning a roof box but I'm concerned that using the rear fixing point will mean I'm unable to open the boot when a box is fitted Shocked

Has anyone already installed these bars? Did you go front or back? I'm not averse to a bit of box overhang over the windscreen but I figure the bars might look a bit odd in the front/middle position.

Many thanks in advance
Dan

Popped them on this morning. I've gone for front - they don't impede the sunroof and I reckon the tailgate will catch anything overhanging on the rear mounting point.

For what it's worth - the Yakima bars seem really good quality, the adjustable width mechanism is excellent, the foot packs sit over the tabs so they don't need to be broken off and all the fittings are good - brass inserts etc. I would recommend, especially as they were £30 on facebook (+£30 for the foot pack)

(I'm cutting the grass this morning!)
