Battery chargers / conditioners

Just about to order a new AGM battery for my Westie, I currently use a NUMAX P/n121000 10a smart charger, but have been informed by Tayna that it’s not ideal for AGM batteries and need a Ctec one another £125 , is anyone using the numax on there AGM batteries and are they working or not, currently out of action due to two ten day isolation and now torn knee ligaments so if I don’t need to spend the extra I won’t, 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8

Not exactly what you asked, but I use a CTEK MXS 5.0 on my AGM and it works perfectly... just incase you wanted some feedback on the CTEK

I also use it on my leisure battery and my race car battery, very versatile Thumbs Up 2010 MY Range Rover 3.6 TDV8 Vogue SE - Stornoway Grey with Semi-Aniline Ivory Leather and Piano Black Trim

I got the CTEK MXS 5 and it wasn't powerful enough for my battery so upgraded to an MXS 10 . Fantastic bit of kit and worth every penny Very Happy

Hi Furnitureman,
Sorry not used the numax, but I do have a ctek 5.0 charger and an Aldi charger, functionally there is no difference between the two, they do the same job for me.
But you can buy 5 Aldi chargers for the price of one ctek!
