Voice Recognition not working following windscreen change

Hi,
I have had a new windscreen fitted by Autoglass but now my Voice Recognition will not work.
Does anyone think it could be related?
When I press the steering wheel button there is no beep coming through the speakers, but it will begin to call the number I last called.
I have left myself a voice message using the car phone and the microphone is picking up my voice so it looks like that is ok.
When I press the R/T button I can scroll between radio channels and telephone. Unfortunately when I press the Voiice Recognition button it will only try and make a phone call, I have to press the button again to end the call as it will not respond to voice commands.
I have reconnected the battery but to no avail.
Any suggestions?

I am pretty sure I am.
I always used to press the bottom right button on the steering wheel with a face symbol. There would be a beep coming through the speakers and I would say "Turn Display Off" and the screen would go off and the polite lady behind the dash would say "Display Off"!

the 'little face' one is the correct button for voice and a short press gets a beep..why this is trying to make a call is weird...

i can only suggest doing a battery reset, maybe this will reboot the relevant ecu's... ... - .- -.

Microphone is in the head lining, they did have to remove the front of the headlining when they did the windscreen.
I have checked the microphone settings on one of the hidden menus and it doesn’t look right, I have to shout for it to hear and register my voice.
I have decided to get Autoglass back to check position of microphone and ensure all connections were done correctly.

No beep when pressed.
I have pulled some fuses and done a battery reset but to no avail.
I am going to get Autoglass back to check the connections.

I have fixed it!
It isn’t anything to do with the windscreen, it is to do with the ‘new’ SatNav disc that I put in the car which I replaced at the same time as the windscreen change.
I put the old disc back in and voice control is working as normal.

I should add that Autoglass were very impressive when they changed the screen. They used a genuine Land Rover Heated Accoustic screen and also replaced the exterior pillar posts.

Must be some software code that enables it.

Apparently 2015 Navigation DVDs are the latest version that work with Voice Recognition.

I noticed recently that voice recognition on my 2003 L322 wasn’t working. Faultmate indicates the module is faulty but I wonder. It’s not something I use so I wonder if it stopped when I removed the 2G/GSM* phone and did the ULF conversion.

Maybe it does have something to do with the map upgrade to 2017 maps (the latest for Australia/New Zealand).

I remember when I had issues with mine & thought it was the steering wheel controls. New Sat nave unit cured the problem.

Unfortunate that you changed the disc at the same time as the screen Smile
