Was it doing it before you serviced it?

Have a look at the four short rubber hoses that are connected into the intake plenum (large plastic doughnut shaped box, located under the engine cover) and see if there's any soot/oil/or splits/cracks, etc. They are a common weak spot on the 4.4 TDV8 engine and will set off the Restricted Performance problems, often at random but more usually under hard acceleration.
Do a search on this forum, there's plenty of info on this.
It's a good place to start Thumbs Up

Check the hose to see if there's a split.
Have you still got the original hoses or have they been replaced with either the newer LR upgraded hoses or the silicone equivalents.
Maybe take a few pics and post them up, that may help with the diagnosis, but it sounds like it could be a culprit. It's relatively easy to replace the hoses. There's a good thread on here on the issue, but I couldn't remember the title of the thread offhand.

Got the car sorted at last.......
i gave it a full service OEM parts
castrol 5w30 c1 oil etc.
but found no splits in any of the hoses,
so i gave it to my mechanic and he found
cracks in the inlet manifold hose which was after market
so we replaced the whole lot with original ones.
the difference is unreal, the power is so good and im
now getting 30mpg.
im so happy with this car now, thanks for all your help.
