Reversing sensor

My L405 my2018 has a problem with what I believe is a faulty offside rear sensor . When reverse is selected despite there being no object near it there is a constant warning tone and a red flash on the o/s on the information screen. It does this most times.
The other side is fine. The front is fine.
There is no sign of any damage to the sensor.
Has anyone replaced a sensor and where can I purchase one? Is it a tricky task?
To be honest I don’t want two visits to the agent, one to diagnose and the second to replace. Thinking of carbon emissions of 60 miles!

the most common failure of parking sensors is having moisture in them from pressure washing the car or going through deep puddles...

you could try spraying some WD40 onto the suspect sensor and see if that helps..

WD40 is a moisture repellent so if there is any water in the sensor then it should get rid of it.. ... - .- -.

Okay I will try that now . Presumably you mean spraying externally not behind the bumper?

Not sure how easy they are to pop out, but if you could do that & put it in the airing cupboard it might help? 2013 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Yes but have to mind those plastic seatings. Do not want to damage them.
