Help! Knott Trailer Brake Shoes Replacement

I've replaced the wheel bearings, seal and brake shoes on my trailer (200mm Knott) however, I was expecting the drum to slide straight back on but, it's getting fouled by the new shoes.

I have changed the adjuster to it's minimum setting. Do the adjuster tabs need removing with the later designed shoes? I noticed a video on YouTube where the guy didn't have them.

Here's some photos. Please can someone advise (you're viewing left side of trailer)?

HI
What does the metal tab each side of the adjuster holder do, i have seen a lott of knott brakes but i have never seen the tab as you call it each side of the adjuster. Also compair the new left brake shoe to the old one and make shore the brake shoe is sitting in the silver holder the same as the old one as it can come unseated which will make it sit out further stopping the drum sliding on.

I have no idea what the adjustment tabs do. They are removable.

I found a photo of the before:

You can see the brake cable holder is the other way around but, I thought they were supposed to have the 'arrow' facing forward. BUT, this was the other left brake, with it with the arrow facing forward:

You can see the brake shoe design has been updated vs my old ones. The lower spring now sits below and the retaining spring is now a 'press in place', whereas the old was a twist type rivet. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

The picture with the blue axle is the front left axle. The other picture is the rear left axle (twin axle trailer).

One of the drums had the expander hinge facing forwards and the other had it facing backwards... Despite both being on the left side of the trailer. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Did a dealer say they would fit or did you just buy same size later shoes.
