Car has AMK compressor, but Hitatchi software?

Do I need to flash it or not?

Doesnt seem to be causing a problem and its been in there since 2013 (according to the sticker on the compressor).

(I have had a couple of faults with the EAS, exhaust valve and a cross articulation error, but if the software had caused those surely the previous owner would have had the problems and got it sorted).

Cheers Thumbs Up

I had exactly the same issue, with just an infrequent fault pop up.. I did use my iid to update to AMK software though and never seen a fault since. I did speak to the previous owner who said the compressor was changed and he did get the occasional fault, but he hardly adjusted height so didn’t follow it up. So worth doing even for just piece of mind.

Thank you! Just out of curiosity, what faults did you get?

First was suspension fault popped when I went from normal to access height then to high. Switching off and restarting normal cleared issue. Read faults on IID and if I remember correctly it showed an incorrect data fault, valve issue and pressure fault. Sorry can’t be more specific.

Thank you!

I am building up the courage to do it Rolling with laughter

I am very nervous, as it gives a warning that it might make your car dead if it goes wrong Shocked

You just have to make sure you have plenty of charge in your battery, I am pretty sure it was a relatively short reflash. You can always connect a smart charger if you are worried.

Flashed it today, and it was a but strange. At the end it said ~ECU update aborted, but when I went back into the file it had changed it?

Anyway, it all seems to be working fine, but no idea why it would say that.
